Stimmt 1 - Freizeit, Klassenzimmer & Stadt / freetime, classroom & city Sentence Builders

3 differentiated sentence builders I created to get students speaking about: Kapitel 3 - Was machst du in deiner Freizeit? Kapitel 4 - Was gibt es in deinem Klassenzimmer? Kapitel 4 - Was gibt es in deiner Stadt? These have proved successful with my students, as they haven’t not only aided with speaking tasks, but they’ve loved to refer to them for writing tasks as well, as they know exactly what to do in order to produce high quality sentences. Each builder includes step by step ideas on how to extend sentences to go from a grade B to A*.

IGCSE Edexcel celebraciones, festivales y tradiciones - speaking ladders

(0)
A nice differentiated pair speaking task where student A and B take turns to test each other in the understanding of topic vocabulary. Suitable for the GCSE topic of special occasions and festivities. Student A has a set of 15 sentences to review the topic of special occasions and festivals that student B needs to answer correctly in order to move up the ladder, one at a time. A has the correct translations of these sentences. Student B has another set of 15 sentences (with the meaning as well) to test A.

Viva 1 - Module 3.4 Durante el recreo

A very straightforward ppt which covers the relevant language to teach Module 3.4 Durante el recreo from the Viva 1 textbook. Ppt introduces a range of phrases to talk about what you do at break, a reading activity, listening from the book, speaking and finally a closing writing paragraph. You can buy the longer version of this on my shop: Viva 1 - Module 3.4 Durante el recreo + Que haces en clase?, which is a fusion of this sub-unit plus Module 2.2 from the Mira 1 textbook: Que haces en clase?, which I created to stretch the most able, as not only it equips them with things to say they do at break, but also in different lessons. A good way to end the module if you have time to teach this. Check out the bottom notes on each slide - you will often find instructions to tasks.

Viva 2 - Module 2.5 Mi guia

A very simple lesson containing 5 mini-activities to do in pairs based around 2 TV guides to exploit this type of authentic text. It’s highly based on the textbook but extending it. It also includes a British TV guide example to work on speaking. As this is done towards the end of the module, I’ve included 2 noughts and crosses sheets for students to do in pairs and thus review vocabulary from module 2.3 Prefiero las comedias. PPT contains a total of 8 slides (1 of them being the answer sheet to the noughts and crosses game).

Spanish GCSE revision - highlighting boards with key grammatical points

(0)
7 different boards where students highlight items based on the groups given in each board. With this resource, students will be reinforcing common grammatical points they get mixed up: personal pronouns: s/he, we, they high frequency reflexives, stem-changing verbs and irregular verbs verbs in the 1st and 3rd person, singular and plural por/para ser/estar preterite, present, future & conditional haber, ser & tener in the 3rd person singular Answers included; some boards require students not only to highlight but also to write the correct answer (e.g. in por/para). A popular resource among my students, as it’s an alternative way of doing revision for which you just need a bunch of different highlighters.
